Is running a red light really only 2 points? I got a "disobey stop sign" ticket and it was 3 points. It was total B.S. - they were unfairly nailing local traffic that was diverted through a neighborhood because of construction.
Fine would have been $105, plus 3 points. Six people at court the same day had stop-sign tickets from the officer. On 5 of the 6 the officer offered to reduce the charge to impeding traffic, which in Keego Harbor carries a $115 fine ($10 more than the stop sign fine) but no points, plus it's not even reported on your driving record. I took the offer. The sixth lady had her ticket dismissed. Not sure how.
