There is no such thing as "temporary probation" or having a ticket "put under advisement" any more in Michigan. This info was from a Bloomfield police sargeant who gave me some helpful info recently. I had gone 11 years with no tickets, never pulled over, and all of a sudden I get 2 tickets within 3 weeks.
If you get a ticket, they cannot put you on probation and let you have the ticket removed for good behavior. They must stick with the original ticket or knock it down to something else, or throw it out entirely.
