Hello guys. I had 2 dyno runs done at Detroit speedworks in Warren. It was part of an SVTTOA meet there. Cost 60.00 for a coast down, a test run, then a base run. The dynometer was a Mustang dyno meter, not a dynojet. After seeing the HP/TRQ numbers of about 7 late model cobras and lightnings before me, and by discussing it with the other car owners there, it was apparent that Mustang dyno is off in it's numbers.
They didnt run it to 6800 rpm (peak) for fear of bouncing the rev limiter.
My stats:
2000 Contour SVT
6900 miles
gutted pre-cats
resonator replaced with glasspack
K&N drop-in, stock airbox cut open
Max hp = 157.6 @ 6600 rpm
Max tq = 138 @ 3200 rpm
if you assume a full 20% loss for drivetrain, I am making under 200 hp at crank and I am making less than 175 tq at crank. I believe in my case the meter must be off by at least 12 hp+
There was a supercharged '98 svt tour there as well getting meterd after me but I had to leave before I could see his results. He metioned he will post as well.
Any thoughts? Catch everyone later.
