Three of my four vehicles are black and I never wash them unless they get rained on or in some other way their paint gets damp. Since they're always under a roof, even at work, all I need is my California Car Brush. laugh Cleaning your car, however you do it, is good to do on a regular basis so that you can keep an eye on the condition of your car's body and paint job and keep a lookout for any new dings or scratches. mad

I bucket wash my CSVT mostly. It has never seen a drive through car wash. I've use the power wash stations with my bucket. Fill up the bucket, then wash the car from it. Use the power wash to rinse. I usually go at night when no one is around so I don't have to rush.

I take about hours to clean my car in and out.

to wash it I use turtle waz car soap in a garden sprayer so that the soap is presurized (but comes out in a soft stream) and I use a soft towel to clean in when the car is good and soaked in soap.

for me it's a spray car wash in the winter, summer it's a mix, At home during the day leaves water spots (dern hard water)So sometimes at about 10 at night I take my bucket mit, and my choice in washing soap weather dawn or mergs gold class(basically it's against the rules  ). wash it in the bay use the spot free rinse dry, the the next morning I take my california dust mop or a bed sheet and remove any dust. then I go to work waxing. Then in the middle of the week or when ever needed I take the dust mop to it again

I would like to wash mine more than I do. I have the same problem of not having any hose hook ups at my apartment complex. I tried the automated carwash, but ended up with some scratches (which I think were from the attendants drying it) so I won't do that again. Other than that I just spray it off when I can at a high pressure car wash. It never does a great job though. My car always seems to be dirty.

Yep. Black is bad. It looks good clean, looks like azz when dirty.

I didn't mention it before, but I admit to taking the car to the dealer for an oil/filter change during the winter.

They always wash the car for free.
