Klendathu,

What a trip every day!

How do you take I-75 on that one? Excet for contruction, I think M-14 to I-275 or Telegraph. Either one to I-696 to Mound Rd. Mound to M-59 to M-53. Now M-53 at 18 mile is down to one lane, but you're going the opposite direction of traffic (work in Romeo?) so it shouldn't be too bad. Still take over an hour, but I'd avoid I-75.

Yeah I feel where most of you are coming from. I've resorted to just staying at work an hour later because it's not worth the frustration. During rush hour, it can seriously take me over an hour to get from Troy to Southfield if I take 75 to 696 (I've made that mistake once and will never do it again).

But I-75 really does need work, so I can't complain about that. And if you go to any of the major cities within the U.S. you'll see traffic much worse than here. I was driving through Atlanta and they 6 lanes on EACH SIDE of the freeway and they still had congestion! I don't even need to mention LA.

So basically it could be worse, in Miami, you have to pay a toll when you enter and exit the freeway and they also have toll booths (for what seems like) every 4-5 miles. So no matter what time of the day, even on weekends, you'll probably hit some type of traffic.
