So I going to look for a Bike tomommow and I want to know what you guys think....what bike should I get....GSXR 750, FZR 600 or what it's my first bike so let me know what you think.

James do you realize the diff between a gixxer 750 and a crappy Fizzer 600?
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy the fzr600. If you weigh less than 180lbs, a gixxer 600 would be a fun bike. A gixxer 750 is alot of bike, damn near the power of an R1 (not a good first bike). Get ahold Of envy, have him put you in touch with me. CBR600 yes

Judge, I met a guy with a 1997 (IIRC) GSRX600frame with a 700 motor. 11,000miles and he is sellin it for $3500 withthe leathah and helemts and gloves. Whatcha think?

just remember, you will put your first bike down at least once! I would go w/ the gixxer 600 (I would too, but the wife won't let me  so we are trying to find a 95 Cobra) Brian, did your buddy ever come back to you on that possible "trade-in" offer you mentioned?

Yea the trade in offer came in. I have to take my bike down there next weekend. I am still thinking about it, for those that do not know I am buying a 2001 Aprillia RSR race prepped. I have not made up my mind about the trade yet....so I am not sure when I get the bike. Tim, I would buy the bike. James, you will lay your first bike down, it is inevitable. The reason I say the 600's over a new 750 is the bike is alot to handle on the street (new). Get used to the bike, then if you need to jump up do it. I would personally buy a CBR 6oofi for a good first street bike (they are more comfy than a gixxer). A gixxer is a very race oriented motorcycle, and ergonomics as well as powerband show it.

my gsxr is the sweetest ride i've ever had its a 97, last year of carbs,don't buy a 98 fuel inj. isn't perfect on em.the guys doin all those stunt movies ride them 4 a reason buy yourself some leathers and the slide protectors 4 the plasticthey stop damage from lil spills n drops .i wish i had em on my first bike cause it hit the ground alot.don't let people scare u with their my sisters boyfriends best friend horror stories .take some lessons hhhhhang on tight and enjoy.soon your tour will just b transportation

I just wanna make one thing clear. I do not want to scare anyone. I just have an opinion on a gixxer 750 as a first bike. I have been riding for 25 years, and have seen most everything on a bike done. 600's are plenty strong, prolly as strong as the 750's of 4 years ago. anyway, it was not a horror story about my sisters brothers girlfriens yadda yadda....it was my best friend.
