All flags should be put to half-mast!
Another Contour SVT has been totaled.
My brother let my son drive his car, which he has in the past with other vehicles, but young boys, hot girls and CSVT is not a good mix.
He ran her down in the CSVT and she stopped! CSVT's do turn heads.
Anyway, to not hit her in the back he took it on the grass, hit a man hole that blowout the rear tire so the car want loose as he tried to pull back on the road.
With the rear end loose, correction was not in sight.
In fact with the blown tire, the rim dug into the pavement and they flipped about 4 times!!
The not so smart kid did not wear his seat belt and if not for the fore site of his passenger, who pulled him back into the car as it was flipping, he would be dead at this moment.
They used the "Jaws of Life" to get them out but everyone survived.
Some give the Contour a bad cash rating, yet another tale of survival in a crash that had all the potential to be fatal.

A sad day truly, its very good to hear everyone survived. Yet another example of the Contours excellent crash protection. I believe it was Consumer Reports that gave the Contour/Mystique a 'Poor/Bad' rating in crash tests. I still don't believe that...we've had too many people on here involved in serious and potentially fatal accidents and all(to my knowledge)have walked away. Thats what I call a safe car!!

Could you clarify something? You mean to tell me this boy was looking at a chick when he lost control of the car?
Sad day for the Contour...Glad he is okay though...

I hit a guardrail going about 60 in my GL and walked away from it. Therefore, I don't really care what Consumer Reports rates the Contour at for crashes. I've known of a few other instances in which Contours were nearly totaled or totaled and those in the Contours walked away. These are the reasons I stuck with the Contour after the GL.

"Mt.Clemens on Wednesday night?"
I may make it up, Marshall told me it was a good time. Being a week night though? I normally work 8 AM to about 6 PM or 7 PM and when I'm done, I'm done.
"this boy was looking at a chick"
The understanding is he was jocking a girl and not paying attention all at the same
When I talked with him he stated "At some moment everything went blank."
He was knocked out but after CAT scan they released him from the hospital the same day.
My brother was going to do his car like mine and we were to hit shows in the south, like Nopi, Daytona Spring Break. Oh well, at least my son is still living, even though I want to kill him for totaling someone's car.
Maybe he will slow down or at least do things in an open area.
