I've heard lots of good about Auto One now. Problem is, the two locations in the phone book are disconnected numbers.
I went to Sun-shade in Troy last time, and although they are expensive, they did a really nice job. They charged $250 as I recall on my last contour. What about anyone else? Better prices? Did they use one piece on each window???
BTW, I live in Farmington Hills/Novi.

BTW, I live in Farmington Hills/Novi. Yo, I live In Redford, there is a place called Auto Ameristar, I got mine done for like $140 or something like that, they used a sheet on each window, they did a nice job and you get lifetime warranty on them.

Go to the Auto Ameristar on Maple Rd. & Decker in Walled Lk. Quality is *much* more important to me than price -- so as long as you guys say Auto Ameristar is OK, I'll give them a try.
I'm just terrified of looking like a cheap tint job with bubbles or even a purplish tint... signs of a bad job or cheap materials..

I just called ameristar in troy and they said $199 for whatever tint you want. I'm going to this place in downtown Royal Oak called Auto Conversions and they're doing it for $180 for the 4 doors and back window. Auto One in Royal Oak was talking like $240 and Sunshades in Troy was about $260.
The reason why Im going to Auto Conversions is because my friend just got his car tinted there and it was extremely clean. Like i said, mines getting tinted tomorrow so if anyone's interested i'll let u know how it turned out. That $125 for the SVT/SHO society sounds too good to be true, if I wasn't so far away I'd go there.

If you find the slightest little bubble or crease in the tint, they will re-tint the window. You're not going to have to worry about fadding either. They use pretty good quality film. Brian

Well hey if anyone is from around Eastpointe area I know someone who tints windows , he did my car's , he also works contracted through Auto Oneand a couple others , he does great work and if ever have problems he fixes them, never seen any problems though...  he also works out of his own spot. So if interested look in the Yellow pages at DJ's Vinyl Tinting, or post a reply here for more info , he is very good priced and only does the highest quality of work!
