My point is, when the limit was 55 the powers that be were convinced that if the limit was raised.....accident rates would increase because "speed kills." Not true, since the raising of legal limits, accident rates and deaths of continued to decrease steadily. Why? Drivers are more comfortable at a certain speed on whatever road it may be. Also, technology of today's vehicles, in emergency lane change maneuvers, braking and better tires have all made driving safer. Thus with safer cars comes safer roads. Thus, people feel safer driving at a speed that they are most comfortable with.
Phew....sorry guys. :p
Carry on!!!

Though I agree with most of what you said, I once heard an interesting logical take on driving. As humans we as a rule generaly can process things as fast as one can run. This is derived from an evolutionary standpoint. Over the course of "our" history we have only moved as fast as our bodies or more recently horses and then cars now planes and spaceshuttles have allowed. As the speed of our scientific advancement continues to pick up speed our mental capability fails to keep up....or so they say. Anyway point is mentally we fail to process our surroundings as humans as fast as is required by our modes of transportation. Not saying I agree but it was enough to make me think for a minute. Ohh yeh I still want a turbo but none the less.
As far as the ticket goes.........jeez just suck it up.
