???? The SVT does NOT have a supercharger...here you are trash talking the Contour and you don't even know what you're talking about?!? And exactly how do you "hear" NOS?? Yes that WAS a Civic Si in that video, a modded Si in fact. The SVT in question was modded too, but NO supercharger or NOS. If you don't believe me you can read all about it on the Contour.org forum at this address: http://contour.org/forums/Forum15/HTML/000043.html The Civic Si is owned by infuryum ( a very cool Honda owner who posts fairly regularly in the Contour forums) and the SVT is owned by MY99SVT, a Contour.org moderator. You'll find mod lists for both of these cars at the above link. OR if pride won't allow you to accept the written word at Contour.org you can ALSO read about this at the Club Si forum, through this link: http://forums.clubsi.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/005875.html And while we're at it, I thought I'd post some factual info regarding the SVT & Civic Si, since you've taken it upon yourself to tell us all just how slow the SVT is when compared to a Civic. The following tech info for the Civic comes from Motor Trend, and the SVT info comes from Car and Driver. Keep in mind these are published facts. 99 Civic Si: 0-60: 7.2 seconds 1/4 mile: 15.7 @88.4 MPH HP: 160 Lateral accel: .8g These stats can be seen directly from Motor Trend at this link: http://www.motortrend.com/april99/civic/civic_f.html 99 SVT Contour 0-60 6.9 seconds 1/4 mile 15.4 @ 91 MPH HP: 200 Lateral accel: .86 g's These stats can be seen directly from Car and Driver at this link: http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddri...ttl.xml?&page=4 So there you have it. Stock for stock, the SVT Contour beats the Civic Si in EVERY respect. Yes, the Civic is close, and I'll be the first to say that I think the Si's are nice cars that run good. But the facts speak for themselves...the Civic Si is NOT quicker than the SVT. Now do you have anything to add CivicR1? ------------------ Chris Smith President SSS of West Michigan http://svt.sho.tripod.com 95 SHO MTX Silver Frost 85k, PP hi-flow Y pipe, Dynomax cat back, SHO Shop cold air snorkel, fishtank lamps, fog light mod, blazer lamps, Royal Purple 10w 30 syn, Royal Purple syn ATF, Colgan Bra, GTS covers, Mich. license plate VERITEC, back to slicer wheels & snowtires for winter Spring Zing 2001 National Contour/SHO Convention April 27-29 2001 http://www.GTExtreme.com/SZ2001

Well...if you have all those mods, of course you will be faster, you better be after spending all that money. Here is my question...supposing you have all those mods...how much have you spent total...including your car? Now, with that amount of money, what kind of car could you have bought that was fast and handled well to begin with? If you can tell me one car out there that can seat four comfortably (read 4 doors), skidpad .86+ g's, 1/4 mile around 15 seconds or under stock, has leather interior and power everything, and can be purchased right now from a dealership new for under $20,000...I'd like to know. Wait..I do know.....and so do you. I respect anyone who takes great pride in their car, no matter what they drive. If you have all that stuff done to it...cool...if you don't....so what...the fact that you love cars is still alright with me....do you see my point? We are all car guys here. Everyone over at the civic club are car guys....the guys over at corvette are car guys........etc...etc ------------------ 95 Mystique LS Young America edition, V6, MTX, 98 EV0 SVT rims, SVT Exhaust, KKM Intake, Brembo rotors and KVR Carbon Fiber pads up front, Pennzoil Synthetic Oil and tint for those hot Florida days. http://www.geocities.com/RocketWebs

Tell ya what CivicR1...post a pic of your car. If you don't have a pic take one. If you don't have a camera go spring for a $10 disposable one and take a few pics and scan them. If you don't have a scanner, take a floppy and go to Kinkos...you can scan at least 5 pics for about $10. Be sure to take pics under the hood too. And I think 300hp is a bit much for an estimate. You're better off to not even throw numbers around until you've dynoed it. If I added up the numbers from my car /w the mods I've done I should have around 255 hp, but in real life the numbers don't work out that way. In any case, post some pics. Not to offend you here or anything, but I'll need to see your car to believe it. ------------------ Chris Smith President SSS of West Michigan http://svt.sho.tripod.com 95 SHO MTX Silver Frost 85k, PP hi-flow Y pipe, Dynomax cat back, SHO Shop cold air snorkel, fishtank lamps, fog light mod, blazer lamps, Royal Purple 10w 30 syn, Royal Purple syn ATF, Colgan Bra, GTS covers, Mich. license plate VERITEC, back to slicer wheels & snowtires for winter Spring Zing 2001 National Contour/SHO Convention April 27-29 2001 http://www.GTExtreme.com/SZ2001

That's ok CivicR1...I knew you were full of hot air from the begining...that's why I've posted all this factual info in the first place. You have all the information about that race to read, from BOTH the SVT & the Si owner, you have the published stats which show the SVT beats the Si, and now you're car looks "too good" to post a pic on "a Contour site." Tell you what, sign up for Club Si and post a pic there. But you won't do that becuase you don't own a Civic. You're busted, sorry Anyways, I'm done with this thread. I've made my point ------------------ Chris Smith President SSS of West Michigan http://svt.sho.tripod.com 95 SHO MTX Silver Frost 85k, PP hi-flow Y pipe, Dynomax cat back, SHO Shop cold air snorkel, fishtank lamps, fog light mod, blazer lamps, Royal Purple 10w 30 syn, Royal Purple syn ATF, Colgan Bra, GTS covers, Mich. license plate VERITEC, back to slicer wheels & snowtires for winter Spring Zing 2001 National Contour/SHO Convention April 27-29 2001 http://www.GTExtreme.com/SZ2001

Actually, that Civic was mine.
I assure you, it IS an Si.
That was the second of two races. The first race is not recorded and we both got off the line. He beat me. End of story.
The second race (in the video) had a very FUBAR'd launch. He was in second gear before I let out the clutch. Ask Tim and he'll tell you the same thing. That video isn't much to go by and you Contour boys know it. I've beaten a stock SVT pretty badly since then. I haven't added any mods, but I've changed the timing. I'm looking forward to racing that SVT again.
CivicR1, I'm working hard to keep my car respectable here and you're not helping. Hit me up on AIM and talk to me tonite. Stop being an asshole.
