I know SilversvtE1 will like this one....
Here we go...
I am on my usual route to work (696 heading west) and there is this 99' or 00' EBP HONDA CIVIC Si (I've seen this guy before on the freeway in the mornings a couple times) cutting threw traffic. I was like hmmmm let's try to catch up to him out by the telegraph area where it really opens up and there is alot less congested traffic. Before I caught up to him, (when he passed me on another lane he seen his car really good) it appears to me he has a Greddy exhasut and probably headers and intake and such. So he was modded. He also had a pretty cool mid wing as well. The car actually looked good. No rims tho. Well, traffic was hellasious for a little and I thought that I wouldnt be able to catch up and then it cleared up after telegraph (thank god) and I sped up to 110 mph to catch up to him. I took alittle while to find him. I find him and he was behind a truck so he switched into the fast lane and I was in the next lane to him (he didnt even notice I was there). The truck moved out of the way. It was the moment of truth..... I was pulling up to him and we were gunna be neck and neck. I immediately engage into 4th gear and I was doing around 80-85 mph. We then get neck and neck. He looked over and seen that he has a fast four door next to him and seen me and he knew it was on at around 80-85mph. So next thing I hear is that awesome sound of V-TECH!!!! VROOOOOOOOMMMMM and I said oh CHIT, Doug-E better do sumthin fast!!!....I pushed the pedal to the metal in 4th and he already had a slight lead cuz he started the race (remember reaction times.....). I kept pulling on him in my lane, and I just hear his vtech climbing up the RPM's. I really like that v-tech sound. I kept pulling and puling foot by foot by foot.... Needless to say I topped 4th gear out very quickly and he was about a car length behind me (whew) and (the best moment of all.....) I switched into HIS lane and I SWERVED RAPIDLY IN FRONT OF HIM...and I flipped into 5th very quickly (I was already doing 120mph by the time I looked down at the speedo when I was in front of him in his own lane)... and I took it up to 135mph and he was fading to about 3-4 or so carlegths at that time and I stopped and coasted down to 90 or so. He catches up, slows down to my speed.... shakes his head in agony (I was smirking) and next thing I hear his VTECH go again.... I was thinking to myself... dood U want another azz whipping??? So he had a great lead on me cuz I was thinking I wasnt really gunna race him again, but U know I'm crazy, I select 4th gear again and see his is about 2 carlengths in front of me before the time I press the pedal to the floor at about 90mph....so i press it and I take off. I kept a constant 2 carlegths behind him for a about 5-8 secs, I select into 5th gear (he wasn't playin around, he wanted to outrun me) and I was gaining moderately. He had to be doing 120-125mph, well by the time I passed him my speedo read between 130-135mph and all I could hear was his VTECH Screaming, not to mention my exhaust as well, I had the window down a little to hear the exhausts and such. I literally blew by him, doing around 15 mph more than his speed at that time and then I get into his lane and obviously in front of him AGAIN. So now thats TWO nice azz whippings in a row. I coast down to around 80mph and notice he doesnt try to catch up or pass. So we get past Novi Rd. exit and he comes along my other side where the fuel door is and trys to look into my tinted windows and such but he couldnt see me then he just turned his head. I could tell he looked like he was angry or something.....well DUH, I just beat him twice in a row.
The only thing that scares me about these civic Si's is that V-tech sound. It really screams. And to think I was gunna originally buy one of those si's....But if you turbo them or supercharge them they get VERY fast!! I wouldnt even mess with a Forced induction Si unless I had soem type of forced induction on my SVT!!
So I just went on my merry way to work and drove like grandma the rest of the way. laterz

I did like that one Doug. You did what you HAD to do. Just like I did on 96 last night on my way up to MSU. Some "kid" in an Eclipse GS-T wanted some.....but didn't have the balls to hang above 120. Too bad for him, I was pulling on him hard and got about 1/4 mile ahead. He was riding my ass at 90 before that anyway. Also, he had no experience. Why would you try and race anybody with 3 of your friends in the car. I was really hoping to get him on a "box-in-manuver". Outrunning him was funner anyway, especially because the KKM loves this cold weather.

No accumulation here yet airknight....
MR SVT, I travel from Warren to Wixom everyday on 696 to I-96 (damn I thought my travels were long!) and I leave at all different times depending on which day but I usually leave my house at 7:15-7:20. I hardly get people wanting to race me, but If its a car I know will beat me then I just leave it alone. I usually drive 65 mph to work I hardly ever speed unless I race, if you can believe that.... Just remember, drive safe as possible when you drive fast, last thing I want to hear is sumone out here dieing or sumthing over a stupid car race. Lataz

I saw a chick this morning on 696 W between Shoenerr and Mound today in a silver SVT stock with tint. I tried to get a good look at her, but I can't seem to go less than 80 or so, so it makes it kinda hard. I think she was cute though...(sorry in advance if this is someone's girlfriend, haha)
