I don't know of any quality motels/hotels in the area of the track, but what we have found in the past is that priceline.com works like a champ! The past couple of times Buckshot has been down here, he gets a room at the Doubletree in Overland Park for the price of some of the sleezy hourly rate hotels up in the Indep. mo area. :p Thats on my way to the track, so I could swing up there and you could follow me there. I'm sure we could get some others to caravan up there with us too!

As for food, Joe's Crabshack is a bit on the pricey side for the amount of food you get. I've heard Hooter's has good Hamburgers though. Fuddruckers is a good deal for the amount of food you get, and is lower in cost than the other places we've mentioned. Plus, some of our members might not be to keen on the whole seafood thing, maybe a more well-rounded place might be better, i.e. Applebees,TGI Fridays, Chili's etc........

Well the SVTOA deal would be cool but Hiatt and I wont be able to come out and race. Could we go another time than that? If not no biggie.

I may take that back. Can I consider my stang a Cobra? I have the upper/lower intake, 24 lb injectors, and some head work. Not the GT40's but I feel I make up for it by having a good computer. The computers for the 93 Cobras sucked. I also am running 12's so you think they would let me come out?

I thought that as long as you where a SVTOA memeber then any fords where welcome?
or maybe its any fords even if your not a memeber? I do know for a fact that theres a Lightning class, a cobra class, and a Contour/Focus class and then all other fords class...

Ohh we went to KCIR today lots of fast cars but i don't think im gonna drag race ever... I think im sticking to Auto X. Maybe ill change my mind if i do it???

There is an open FORD class.

4 classes (Cobra, Lightning, Contour/Focus & open Ford) - 125 car max limit

Try it - at least once. Let your ride cool down for a while before you run.

As for sticking to autox, I'm biased...it's FAR more fun than the drags, but the fastest I personally have ever run is 14s.
