You could be like me and have a 97 GL that came w/ SE suspension, SE wheels, traction control, heated mirrors, everything except leather, pwr seats and moonroof. go figure. :rolleyes: :p

I didn't know one could get a GL with SE suspension.  Also, insurance companies seem to have the late 98.5 data for VIN's. (serial #'s)
2000 SE fleet, V6, ATX, ABS, no spoiler, T-Green/tan. Built 01/2000 in MO.
Added 12 spoke factory SE rims, K&N. Biggest mod: ESP Plan!

I checked and any pre 98's with the V6 package get the SE suspensions!
2000 SE fleet, V6, ATX, ABS, no spoiler, T-Green/tan. Built 01/2000 in MO.
Added 12 spoke factory SE rims, K&N. Biggest mod: ESP Plan!

I've got a rare SVT - factory cassette player, no sunroof, no spoiler, and no cigarette lighter. Oh yeah, and I'm using the 6th digit on the odometer, too. I bet there aren't anyothers like mine.

So my '98 GL Sport had stock SE suspension? It handled like a champ whether it did or not, just curious. Now it handles better, of course  .

I think if it had a V6 it did have "sport" tuning.

I was under the impression that the Sport package was appearance only... eight-spoke alloys, spoiler, etc. Does that package include tighter suspension like the SE's? I haven't ridden in a base model so I have no comparison to go by. All I know is my "Sport GL" had fairly firm stock susp.
