The mods would consist of lowering springs, tint windows, and 18" Cobra R's.

From what I've seen at the track, the 99+ Cobras are slightly slower than the 98 and below Cobras. Yes, the 99+ Cobras did gain a slight increase in power, but it wasn't remotely enough power to offset the 175lb gain in weight for the independant rear end. The 99+ Cobras weigh a whopping 3550lbs!!! If you are gonna get a new Cobra, don't buy a 99. All of them have been fixed, but they just don't seem to run well. I have yet to see a NA 99 Cobra go any faster than a 14.2@99mph, and that's with mods. I raced a 2001 Cobra at KCIR. I ran a 14.6@97 to his 13.9@102mph with a horrible 2.4 60 foot (IRS induced wheelhop).

A well driven 98 Cobra with a 4.10 gear, X-pipe, MAF, K&N filter, resonators removed, and drag radials should be good for mid to higher 13s. A few guys have gone 13.0s with this setup.
