Well this past Friday I got an estimate on my car and it was a little too rich for my blood. I have to fork over $2,000 for a new tranny. This is BS and the car is going on the market this week. If you know anyone that is interested in a supercharged Contour let me know. I am thinking about selling it for $14,000. I am having everything put back together and like new but with a stock tranny.
Oh yeah the Mustang is going on the market as well. I am looking to sell both cars and buy a 2002 Mustang. I might even wait for that Mach 1 to come out. Last Monday they finally were on the market to buy. I am going to wait until Bill Woods gets one and see what I think then make a decision. I need a car that will give me no more headaches.
I may sound like a pussy cause of this, but I cant take it anymore. I have been stressing bad over it all and it's not worth it. I want something with a warranty.
You guys have been great and no matter what I end up buying I hope I will still be welcome here and out with the group. I have became great friends with everyone and I didnt want or think it would stop if I bought something else and didnt own a Contour anymore. I will keep everyone posted on my situation with the car hunting. Later.

I won't be leaving any of you guys. You are the ones to tell me if I will be welcome or not. I am tired of going to all these Contour meets and having to tell you what is wrong with the car. That is getting old. If I do get the money for the cars I am looking to get a '99+ Cobra. I will deffinitely have to stay SVT. I love my Mom's GT and the aftermarket is huge for those cars. So if I can find a Cobra for a good price I will be all over it. Since I work at Bill Woods I am going to have a salesman look around for a sweet one with low miles and the color I want. Sorry I am such a whiny baby, but man it is killing me. The worst part about getting rid of the Contour is that I got the car when Beckie and I started dating and it's like I am losing a part of that.

Lata buddy, IM sorry too really i am It has been forever since I have had the chance to go that fast. I had been baying the car for a good 500 miles then i took it to the track to finally get her under the full psi. I am gonna stay SVT. I have been checking already what's out there and I have found some nice rides. I am looking at Rousch's, Saleen's, Cobra's, and I found one Steeda GT (only made 100). Tomorrow I will be putting both cars on Auto Trader and wherever else needed. Hope to sell it outside of Missouri, I would hate to see her out driving around. I think you know what I mean.

Sam-
Get a 99+ Cobra WITHOUT the spoiler. Those are so wicked looking without the wing. I've never liked the spoilers on the Stangs (way to tacked on looking). Get a nice 1.5" drop and the car would be perfect. If you are more interested in the 1/4 mile, forget the 99+ Cobra. The independant rear end is crappy for the track. The live axle in the 98 and below is far better. Rememeber that those 99+ Cobra half shafts are supper weak. Gear changes in the 98 and below Cobras are FAR easier and cheaper too. No less than a 4.10 gear. Anything less and you're wasting your money.
BTW, keep in mind that anytime you modifiy your car, you're asking for problems. If you really want true daily driver, stick to the simple and effective bolt-ons. Steer clear of nitrous, forced induction, heads, etc. 12s is plenty quick for a street car and 12s are easily attainable in any 99+ Mustang with a few well selected bolt-ons.

The reason i am looking into a '99+ Cobra is because I want performance that is great stock. I am tired of trying HARD to get a car to run good. Why not buy a car that is allready in the 13's and just add aesthetic mods. I want something with warranty if you know what I mean. The mods would consist of lowering springs, tint windows, and 18" Cobra R's. Oh by the way the car is on autotrader so if you know anyone out of the states of Missouri and Kansas please let them know.

Yeah I know but I wont be thinking performance for a while. I want style. Style isn't hard but performance is, and can get a person down. Tired of being down if you know what I mean.
