Your car looks faster than a mid/high 14 second car when you take off. With that intake you are getting I wouldnt doubt you hit low 14s easy.[/QB] Sam- A guy over at Maxima.org had a similiar problem on his Maxima where he couldn't go foward, only reverse. I believe the shaft that runs some of his gears broke. Another possiblity is that the gear slider for the forward gears broke. To me, it sounds like your differential is fine. I'd also steer clear of the track when it comes to that SVT or start in 2nd I've never watched my car take off, but it usually feels pretty strong. I'm still getting too greedy on my launch. Many people have told me the car looks pretty good in 1st and then when I hit 2nd it really looks like it's starting to move good (for a sedan). My motor must have really hated the heat soak. My 1/4 MPHs were up in the normal range for the weather, but my 1/8th mile seems to be suffering. I was only getting 9.7s@74mph in the 1/8th. I'm usually getting 9.5s@75-76mph and sometimes 77mph. Oh well. I had fun. Keep us posted about the tranny. Dave

Car is up on the racks right now. Hear is what the mechanic told me that when he was pulling it in to the garage the gears will engage when he gives it a little throttle but when too much is given it disengages. Kind of weird, but will find out tonight if I am looken to spend big buck and if I am having to the Quaife will be installed. Since I work for the dealership I am getting a sweet discount so instead of paying $80 to look at it I only pay $46. Kind of nice.

Greg- When's the rematch? I went down to Arkansas to get a set subframe connectors put on my car by Warpspeed Performance. While I was there the owner of Warpspeed kindly pointed out that I had a MAJOR vacumm leak after my MAF in my intake pipe. 3 weeks ago I relocated my IAT sensor and thought I plugged the IAT hole. I covered up the hole, but there was still a 1/8" gap between the cover and the pipe. It turns out I had a 1/2" leak right before my throttle body. I don't know how my car didn't throw a code. No wonder my intake had gotten REALLY quiet and my car felt really lethargic, especially on each gear change and up top. I thought it was the weather, but it turns out I was just an idiot I installed Warpspeed's pipe which didn't have the IAT provision and my car is far stronger. It's almost like adding a Y-pipe (15hp on the Maxima). I'm looking for a rematch Of course by then, I may have my variable intake manifold. Hopefully you'll be fully tuned and possibly have a new clutch so that you can get better ETs. BTW, someone needs to come up with some subframe connectors for your cars. You wouldn't believe what they do for the car. The ride is much better because of reduced NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), handling is much improved, and big bumps are near as jarring. You'll have to take a look at them to get some ideas. Dave

Dave, SHO Shop makes weld in subframe connectors for our cars. I'm also going to make my own set up as I saved the frame rails off my wrecked car just for that fact.

No new clutch here.
Maybe next year if I start saving now. (That's a $2000 mod for me - Quaife, clutch, flywheel, & labor)
I have a couple new ideas for launching that may help out. Putting back in the return spring so I don't getting any extra timing advance below 3500rpm. Spring inserts in the rear to stop weight transfer.
Buckshot... Are you using the old frame rails to make them or just as a model to make them?

Using them as the frame template to work off of. Much easier than sitting under the car and trying to fit pieces up here and there.
