Your car looks faster than a mid/high 14 second car when you take off. With that intake you are getting I wouldnt doubt you hit low 14s easy.[/QB]
Sam-
A guy over at Maxima.org had a similiar problem on his Maxima where he couldn't go foward, only reverse. I believe the shaft that runs some of his gears broke. Another possiblity is that the gear slider for the forward gears broke. To me, it sounds like your differential is fine. I'd also steer clear of the track when it comes to that SVT or start in 2nd
I've never watched my car take off, but it usually feels pretty strong. I'm still getting too greedy on my launch. Many people have told me the car looks pretty good in 1st and then when I hit 2nd it really looks like it's starting to move good (for a sedan). My motor must have really hated the heat soak. My 1/4 MPHs were up in the normal range for the weather, but my 1/8th mile seems to be suffering. I was only getting 9.7s@74mph in the 1/8th. I'm usually getting 9.5s@75-76mph and sometimes 77mph. Oh well. I had fun.
Keep us posted about the tranny.
