You actually will pick up some better times at the track if that is what your looking for. I am no expert on this, but I do have some personal experience with something similar. Back when the Contour had a superchip, KKM cold air induction, and custom exhaust I could pull to 7,500 with the chip. Although the dyno shows me falling on my face after 4,500 I believe I still could hold those gears. I had raced a silver 99 SVT who had exhaust and cold air induction. We were dead even first gear till he had to shift to 2nd. i pulled a good car on him. Then he was hanging with me till he hit third gear then I put two cars on him. Being able to hold gear longer helps out tremendously in my opinion.
