I got APC's on mine...and YES...use the diodes in the how to..you need it to make it work right...after the wiring..its pretty easy.

Depends how you want them to operate. If you want them authentic as in Europe, flashers only, then you do not need any resistors. If you want them to be on with the parking lights and flash then you need the resisotrs and such.

When I was going to do mine, I wanted them authnetic and only as flashers, so I was not planning on doing any wiring except direct to the turn signals wires.

I have a set of 1994 Honda Accord sidemarkers and they are ran directly to the turn signal. They only flash with the turn signals. Didnt car to have them running with the parking lights then flash brighter with the turn signals. Depends on what you want. Have fun sending the wires through the firewall. Can be a pain in the you know what.

I haven't looked at the wiring, but can't you run a lead from the normal turn signal line...

...or is the power loss from running 2 bulbs too much for it?

Where did you tie into under the dash? The fuse box?

This has been on my list for a while too... The never ending list... laugh

Here is the most widely used diagram for the sidemarkers install:

I ran speaker wire up through the firewall to the turn signals where I connected the wires to the blue/orange strip and black for ground. i would recommend testing it all before crimping everything together or you can become very fustrated very fast. good luck.
