Got the Momo's from Ken,
Thanks again Sam.
as for the 22hp loss.....Are you sure....She seems to pull just as hard as before. Ken thought so as well.

I am in search of a new headunit now.
Only requirements i want are
2 RCAs with at LEAST 4V output.
pref. In Kenwood, Alpine, or Clarion.

I can get the Clarion 615 for 200$ new so i may go that way unless a better deal comes around.

One more thing guys.
Sorry couldn't make it to USAC. I have about 3 more dentist appointments to go frown

See what happens when you don't go for 15 years. 1 crown, 2 more wisdom, but only 2 cavity's . I wish they could just do all the work at once. And get it over with.

For that F'ing crown, have any of you ever smelled burnt Gums, I think any form of human flesh burning has to be the worst smell ever. that and my sister in-laws meatloaf.

Sam give me a holler i May have something you may or maynot be interested in.

I know Tim was very impressed by the sound quality his Kenwood gained him over his Sony. I have always been into Kenwood headunits, put them neck and neck on a chart and seems like the Kenwood is always a better bang for the buck.

Next to Kenwoods, I would go with Eclipse, go up to KC Trends new Audio Salon, they carry Eclipse.

Fishie, we could not "say there was" a big loss... Eric and I, mark ect... We guessed with the heaver wheels that it took some ponies from Bill's dyno. How much did it take I don't know... Did it take some ponies? Well ya, but I don't really know how much.

I know Bill was down when he looked at the dyno of his car but a base line is just a point to build more horsepower and Tq.

I think that is what your getting at? Right smile So guess how much more do the Momo's weight then the SVT wheels? More inital mass to move. Just think of it like the lightined fly wheel. The lighter one allows for the car to spin to Red line that much faster! The stock one is well stock and kinda slow smile

Does that help you out Eric F? Cool smile

I destictly remember YOU MERLIN HIATT Troll .... smile
saying that it was 22 HP.

But yes i do know what you are saying.
None the less I Still feel the car is as strong as it was before.

When Ken and I went for a little drive after, he commmented on How much more pull mine seemed to have.

So i guess, I best start saving the bucks to get my ass on the DYNO

smile

I showed 150HP with the MOMO's, but that was the same as the guy with the child car seat in the back seat that ran earlier that day w/o MOMO's. Both of us had 1998's. Phil has a 98 and he was quite happy with his run even thought it was a bit lower the some of the others. Sam never dynoed his w/o the SC.
Mark did mention to me that the wheels were probably making a difference and suggested running again with the stock wheels, but like Merlin said it's only a baseline and I'm going to continue to run the MOMO's!

CAll me Crazy Cooter, but I don't remember saying anything about a 22hp loss... Show me the light smile If I did I would like to see what the heck I goofed about and or what I was talking about smile

About the wheels. Once in motion a heaver object stays in motion than a lighter object. So I can see you saying it feels better. Does it bog off the line a little from where you regular drive... so now you have to pull up a couple more Rpms?

I remember being a part of that discussion at the dyno day. Bill pulled about 150 or so horsepower where most of the other people were in the 160 range. That is where we got the idea that the momo's were causing a horsepower loss. Seems like a pretty sound theory to me. I dynoed the same day with my car having 750 miles and a KKM at 167.5 or so. This was on a 2000 car.
