Since I posted I've been paying closer attention to how it occurs and if I'm near top volume it happens relatively quickly; today I ran it @ 3/4 volume for 2 hours and it didn't happen at all. I'm thinking (and hopeful) that I had been over working the amp since I intend to replace that. Thanks for your input.
