Well if it follows that path its coming right for me! Ack! Good thing Im inland. . . .

Even though you're inland, you're not completely safe. 2 years ago when hurricane charlie came through Orlando there was quite a bit of damage and I lost power for almost 5 days. My place didn't really sustain any damage but not having power for that many days when it's 90+ degress out really sucks!!

Im not saying Im safe, but Im safer. . . if that means anything! I worry more about tornadoes than anything else. Not to mention are street is all HUGE Live Oaks. See the 2006 Calender (July) to see what Im talking about

We got ours 2 years ago (is that when Charlie came through?). Our power outage was about a week too.

We are close enough that if Orlando gets it, we get it. Hurricanes are kinda big

Projected to be a cat 1 or 2. Should be no big deal as last year Wilma knocked down everything weak enough to be vulnerable to a cat 2. I just hope that the winds don't send more debris slamming into my car!!!

Well, damnit!

Went flyin' around after work yesterday trying to find gasoline. No luck. Gas stations were either lined up for 1/2 mile or out of fuel. I've never seen anything like it in the 25 years I've lived in Florida. Never been a rush on fuel like this before.

Have enough gas to get to work & back after dumping remaining lawn mower fuel into my tank. This is gonna kinda suck.
