So I am in San Diego now and I really want my car tuned so I have it working properly. I maybe an appointment with ADC for tomorrow to get it tuned and then I realized that I donâ??t really have the time at the moment to drive 6 hours there and back and pay for gas and a hotel room. Also none of my roommates want to go since there is nothing to look at and the drive is boring.
So I am looking to just get a simple tune now in SD and later possibly during a break time from school I can take the drive to AZ and get the job done right. I feel at the moment this is the only option I really have, I donâ??t want to wait the whole time to get my car tuned because it needs some changes to the car to run better.
I guess this is not a dilemma anymore since I donâ??t think my mind will change anytime soon. I just now have to find a good tuning place in the area.

Well, I don't know if they can tune our cars, but the DynoShop in Santee is an excellent tuning shop that primarily works on mustangs and camaros. I've been there for a few dyno days and the people there were friendly and helpful.
Another option would be Group 5 Motorsports in Miramar that primarily works on import cars, but may be able to help you.
Those are the two best tuning shops I know around SD, although I don't know if either will be able to help you. I would just call and ask.

tell your roommates that there is plenty of "view" in arizona. trust me on this one! and you won't have to pay extra money for another tune, unless you plan on going FI

I setup an appointment with JBA racing. The guy told me that once you dyno with fords for so long they all become very similar so I trust it will be done right. It is going to cost me $650 with the dyno tune and Xcal 2 tuner. It is the only option I have for the next couple months. The website JBA Racing I hope it turns out good. I have a rattle under my car somewhere I need that to get checked as well. I have the appointment for Sept. 6th. I will let you guys know how it goes.

Sorry playa,, i have been to JBA but did not have my car tuned there. I bought my superchip from there andd they programmed it. that's the extent of my JBA knowledge. Everytime that I have been there they seemed to do more MUstangs than any other kind of ford. SO good luck on that and please let me know how that turns out.
And yes Path,, i am still around. Hell everyone left so i just stop by here a few times a month to see what is going on.
I drive a Ford, what else do you need to know??

I hear ya... after Dub and Eric left I stopped browsing as much and once I sold my car, I barely check the site once a week or so. I'm leaving for SF early on Saturday, so it looks like you'll be the only one of the original SD guys left. Seems to be a few new guys comin on lately so maybe a new group will start...

True, you have been involved for the past few years, but I was referring to the first group of guys that got together when I became a member. (Eric, Tim, Harley, me, some guy Nick, Scott, etc...). Tim and Scott will be the only ones still in SD from that group. Sounds as though there will be a new SD group starting up hopefully.
Anyway, enough hijacking of the thread...
