You guys get descent mileage. I used to get 28 to 30+ on the highway in my V-6 Contour, but the V-6 Mystique is getting about 22mph no matter where/how I drive. Same computer code, new Autolite plugs/wires just like the Contour, UIM/LIM has been B-12'd a couple of times, good maintenance on everything else. I've got mystery mod, no CELs, & SVT exhaust. I've tried stock air filter setup with various filter brands, and am now running open element for the last 8 months or so. No difference. I'm gonna try swapping out the fuel pressure regulator for a fresh one & performing a full UIM/LIM rebuild. Soon as I get time...
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

You should try changing gears, I'm sure you'll do better than "22 mph"

My gas mileage has begun it's descent as well. I used to get decent figures, but a clogged O2 sensor has reduced it severely. I used to get 29 on the highway. I think it's dropped to about 24-25. I've only been able to break the 30 mpg barrier once or twice. Very frustrating! But then again, I'd MUCH rather sacrifice 1-2 mpg for ice cold A/C!! (I'm a sissy that way! 75° hits, and the A/C goes full blast!)

I average about 23 mpg and about 280 miles per tank in my 98 E0. I fill up when the needle hits the E line. Sometimes the gas light comes on and sometimes it doesn't. I should have at least 2 gallons left in the tank according to my calculations when I fill up. I'm not going to chance it and see if I can go another 30 miles.

I have 3 new O2's. The only other things I could do are clean the UIM/LIM and get a new fuel filter. The manifolds were supposedly recently cleaned.

Part of getting the higher mileage is the way I drive. I almost always keep the RPMs low. I'm usually in 5th gear by 30-35 mph. Sometimes I'll shift skipping gears. Often 1-3-5, sometimes 2-4-5. Doing this I discovered the V6 has just enough low-end grunt to SLOWLY get the car moving from a stop in 4th gear.

Still the usual consistant ~450kms/tank while running on Sunoco 91, usually see 500kms /w 94.
