I have a friend who is buying a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 Special Edition tomorrow. It only has 150 miles on it, yet the dealer has disclosed that the engine was replaced. My friend knows zero about cars. The dealer "claims" that alot of 2006 2.5 Altimas were "recalled to the factory to replace defective engines." The only recall I can find is for the rear suspension link bracket. Does anyone know anything about this engine recall? I told him that it sounds fishy and that is why I am researching for his dumba$$
. I don't want to see him get stuck with a lemon (again).
