Get bronchitis and get over it, then get a relapse thats worse then first case. It does wonders for weight.

I'd also add to the above, eat more times. If possible try to have 4 or 5 smaller meals a day rather then 3 larger ones, or the famous huge dinner at night with snacks throughout the day.

You don't even need to join a gym. Do push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups (if you have something to grab onto) and lunges or squats with just your body weight a couple times a week, that will help out.
