first yeah, I have been a contour.org member for a long time, and have been email subscriber for a couple of years too. I havent been to the meets because I just never had the time to fit it in somehow I did take my contour with me on a 914 run once, that was great fun. Especially the hill climb with a bunch of old Porsches. It was amazing to see the differences in handling between an old Porsche and a newer car like ours. In a lot of ways the contour held its own, but in the end the agility of the ol 914 made it no contest on the real tight stuff. I do have some pics from the event.

The coupe is def way hot. I dont know why exactly but the Z4 and Boxster (Caymen) both look gorgeous to me. However if given the choice between a coupe and convertible I would go or the drop top everytime. There is only so much torsional rigidity and less weight can do for me to offset not being able to put the top down when it is beautiful out.

Thanks for the comments btw. black/red was not my first choice but living with it I have grown to love it and do not look back ever.

Very nice toy! How about some interior shots and engine bay shots!

Great choice of car! I like it!

Wife & I have been talking about getting a weekend cruiser too, but it's not quite the right time. We've narrowed it down to a Jag XK8 or a Thunderbird. There are, of course, others even considered yet, but the comparisons will continue until that 'right one' comes along. Came within a baby's breath of buying a Jag just last week. What a deal! But just not the right time yet.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

when I was looking at cars it was torture. I went back and forth a bunch times. I came real close to jumping on a GTO, but in the end the deal that BMW was good that it didnt make any sense to go with the GTO. I'll see if I can dig some pics up. there is a bunch of cool stuff on www.z4um.com if anyone is interested
