Well if the SVT felt slower above IMRC then I would likely skip it because something is definitely broken... :p
In all honestly it should feel the same until then (IMRC) and then continue to get noticably stronger all the way to redline.
The clutch engaging/disengaging at the top of the pedal is normal and absolutely wonderful. Makes for a great driver's car!
Yes the SVT has an upgraded clutch, pressure plate and lighter flywheel.
