So the road courses prove to people that don't understand cars that stock cars can handle.... yet they still hate on the other tracks. Do you realize how much driving control it takes to go as fast as they do with 40 other cars around them? Sure they're turning the same way around the whole thing, but it's much more than that. You can't go out there and do it no matter how bad you think you are, unless you have their experience. And think about how much more comes into play other than just driving. Setting the car up is a big deal and pit stragety is huge.
I for one find nearly all forms of racing entertaining. I like NASCAR over F1 BECAUSE they can bump and rub and not be out of the race because they break their suspensions. There is something to be said for something that can hold up like a NASCAR car can. That's why the GT40s that dominated back in the day basically ran a NASCAR engine, it was the only thing that could hold up to the 24hours race (and actually do it easily).
