The internet has destroyed basic spelling and grammar. Anytime someone is corrected for errors, the most common excuse is "It's just the internet it don't matter" or something along those lines. Yeah, it may just be the internet, but people still judge you (and rightfully so) on your basic use of the English language.

When I see the results of a public school education, I am thankful I was sent to a parochial school.

not all public education is worthless. i attended a public school (though it was in a small municipality and only about 700 students in 9, 10, 11, and 12th grade combined). granted, we had our share of idiots and those voted most likely to flip my burgers in 10 years, but really who doesn't.
now IPS (indianapolis public schools) are another story

Because the public schools system is under funded. They just pass people to get them out of their hair due to the fact there is not one thing the teacher can do to punish the student. Bring back beatings in school....worked back in my day...look how well I turned out
