Maybe someone can clear this up. After a dozen or so posts on CEG, that intake is bashed soundly. But on NECO, I couldn't read more than a page or two of "dude that's so totally awesome" and the like. Why the huge difference?

Well since we have great educators and experience idividuals over here. We have all been informed the removal of the center peiece with out a porper tune will cause an unbalanced A/F with in the combustion chamber.

Causing detonation/pinging which in return creates a lean state in the A/F. You will eventually have a hole in your piston if not tuned/corrected.

It seem the people over at neco have never stressed this. So nobody has never been taught its a back yard mechanic power gain. That is why they offer aftermarket air meters. instead of this hack job.

What a POS!
Eventually the clear plastic pipe and tubes will go yellow and brittle and crack and cause all sorts of problems. No to mention the actual intake tube will probably heat up and deform.

Wowsers!

I know I knocked this thing pretty bad myself, especially becaouse of personal experience.

The only saving grace is that the pipe is lexan. I could it something neat and different.

but pulling the a/f out, not to mention how bad that adaptor is.

So you get a prop for the clear pipe, but for the rest of the kit destorys it.
