Yes there is. I've seen people use a board under the oil pan and support the engine with a floor jack. However the best way to support it is with the correct tool. It is a tool that mounts to the edges of your engine bay and then hooks through your lift hooks on your engine. This is the tool called out in all of Ford's service manuals. It's name is called a support bar specifically for supporting the engine. The part number for the tool is 21-140. Heres the pic out of the Ford service manual:
