Wait... so what if he had to drive 200 miles each way in his truck getting 10mpg? Would he have more dollars then sense then? People are getting hung up on the flying part...

He found a car he wanted and it just so happened it was cheaper then driving. Thats it.

What in the hell do you expect for $2,500 The seller said the car was dirty and had been smoked in, said it had been misfiring - but had cleared up, the body panels were mismatched and the car had 150K miles on it. He would take less as he just wanted the car gone.

I'm not hung up on the flying part, I'm hung up on the part where this guy expected a diamond in the rough for $2,500 or $2,000.

Seller is jackass but the buyer is a moron

I could pick up an svt for 2k -2.5k... if it was more then a few miles away i'm sure people would tell me to fly out and drive it back. I read the origional ad for the car, says it was in good condition which means no major mechanical issues... 8 CEL's seems to be major mechanical to me. Seems to me that he had cash in hand and was more then ready to buy the car if it was in condition that it was advertised in, but anyways. I'm just saying that to call the buyer a moron is kinda dumb IMO.

Oh, and I'm pretty much done with this thread. All of this has been hashed out on the other tread on the other forum.
