What a beautiful day for a show. We parked under some trees (as were most vehicles) to keep the direct sun off us. There were over 130 vehicles entered (I was #98 and there was 90 minutes left to register when we got there). There were a lot of really good cars there, not many dogs at all.

I am not sure how many were in my class (Original/Restored 1991-1999), but there were at least 4. I could still be in original because they let you have up to 5 modifications before forcing you into the modified class.

They handed out a few "fun" awards during the day just for grins, and I got best audio/video system at the show. Then when they did the class awards, I took 1st place in that too. They had trophies for 1st-3rd in each class and I know of at least one car in my class that didn't get called up for a trophy.

They also give out 2 Best-of-Show trophies (one for original and one modified) that were 7'6" tall. They also had some other "best-of" caption awards too, but we didn't stick around for those.

I would highly recommend this as possibly a group meet next year. Pontiac is not that far from Chicagoland, just off I-55. Brett always has really good goodie bags for registrants and lots of door prizes and raffles. They did a 50/50 drawing to raise money for the charity and the winner got like $240 (wasn't me...).
