If the truck is a 1995 B3000 with the original engine, then IT IS a 3.0 V6. Mazda labels that Truck like I explained above. The B2300 has a 2.3L 4 cylinder, the B3000 has a 3.0L V6 and the B4000 has a 4.0L V6. BXXXX isn't a trim level, it tells you what engine the truck has. There are no B2300's with a V6 and no B3000 or B4000 with a 4 cylinder. Plus you get more and more options as standard features as you step up from one model to another.

These things weren't the case with the Ranger. In the Ranger, you could pick your trim, engine, trans, drive, bed size and type, cab type, wheels, packages, and options. Most of these options were independant of each other. For instance you could get XLT with the 3.0 V6, auto, 4wd, short flare-side bed, single cab, alloy wheels, off road package, and whatever options. You could also get a XLT with a 4.0L V6, 5-speed, 2wd, long bed, single cab, chromed wheels, and whatever packages and opitons you wanted.
