The Contour's about as American as a Honda Accord. Oh, well, if it makes you feel better, remember that the Global company known as Ford has controlling interest in Mazda--and the "6" platform. (Shared with Fusion-Zephyr? I can't remember.)
Function before fashion.

Sweet car. I saw my first MS6 in person about 1 month ago and fell in love w/ it. I think it looks better in person than in pics, but the wheels still look in person. Too bad there wasn't a wheel/tire package available. I'll definately be looking into one of these when the time comes for an upgrade.

Funny all you guys are talking about the wheels, as I think they look like butt as well. Plans are to get this through the first winter, then purchase a new set of 19's. Hopefully I'll be able to find some sort of snow tire for these things...if not, at least all seasons.
Other than the wheels, my only other complaint is with the light, trigger happy clutch. It feels like pushing air and grabs first gear hard...I'm sure I'll adjust in a little while though.
Thanks for the props on the color too...I had second opinions about it and almost changed my mind for black mica.

You can get some VERY nice tires for the car. My dad got some decent 17's and threw on some Bridgestone blizzaks and MAN, he can pretty much gun it in the snow and get full traction, its pretty amazing.
And you will get used to the clutch, i used to hate it but i actually like it now, it makes it easier to swing the ass around in 1st gear.

Very nice NEW ride. I came close to buying a MS6 but opted for another pickup truck instead. Already have one Mazda 6 in the fleet, though it's not as unique as yours (2004 6i Hatchback). Once again, very nice. PS. Check your PM.
