You moron that's why you DON't wetsand. Wetsanding is for smoothness and will make it so the paint doesn't adhere. If you really want to get rid of the chrome, DRY sand with 100, 150, 200, 220 sand paper, primer and paint  .
I suggest you read up on proper painting techniques before spewing your stupity on the subject. Meanwhile, why don't you go sit with the other kids while the adults talk.
