I was just trying to say that if you are trying to make a faster car/ more high performance car (RWD, etc.) why would you start with a I4 engine.

To each his own is right, and i understand what your saying but like others said. Srt4, EVO....slap a turbo on them and they go.

It would beinteresting to try on one of those on a RWD focus. It would be a lot more balanced then the 351w I've seen.

You've never ridden in a Caterham with a Zetec, I guess. Absolutely FLIES, revs like a blender, doesn't take up much space, and it's obviously rear-drive.

I think the Miata with the 3L Duratec used an RX-7 tranny for RWD. They made an adapter plate for it to work.
