yes, they did replace the alt when I took it to the shop

I know it seems trivial to ditch the car over the alt, but here's the thing. in the last 6 months, I've done it twice. a mechanic that I knew helped me DIY the first time (I paid him for his time/help, but not as much as a shop). that one blew, and I wasn't going through the hell of that alternator again, and I lacked all the necessary tools to do it. I had the shop do it.

the book value for my car is like, what, $800-$1000? I just put $250 into it this past week, and if I'm talking another $250 in labor to have the alt done (sorry, I just can't do that thing again), you figure that's almost 2 months of the car payment I'll be making. within 2 months, it would not surprise me if something else were to break on this car, and I was planning on getting something new in december. I'll check the megafuse, but I may be on troll status sometime soon
