You should have tried to resolve it in person instead of over the phone.
no one can resist this walking through the door, especially not over two little pennies.

Well, washer fluid is alcohol. It just happens to be the stuff that is poison.

For me it is totally the opposite.
I went into the bank (Chase, Bank One at the time) to see if I could get some overdraft fees reversed because some company that I signed up for a free trial through charged my account, even though I had cancelled before the period ended. The lady told me that they would do nothing about it and that I would have to get the company that charged my card to give me the money (and take them to court over 45 freaking dollars? NO). I asked to speak to the branch manager but she was not there.
So I went home and called the 800 customer service number and talked to a telephone banker. Not only did she reverse all of the overdraft charges that incurred after the wrongful charging of my card, she even reversed a couple that were a little bit older and unrelated. I went back to the branch that I talked to the lady about and told her that they refunded it and that if she wanted to keep me as a customer she needed to "apologize". She was pretty good looking so I was hoping for more than a "sorry," but it was still good when she gave a friendly wink.
