lol, elky... that made my day.

I dont know, maybe im being too critical about things... Yeah I know that I never made definate plans with the girl to see Clerks 2, but we made a "pact" if you will to make sure we saw it together.

Like, I get this kind of crap all of the time "Dude, we had the best time at chris' birthday party... why didnt you make it?"

me:"well, I went to chris' house that night, and nobody was there"

friend:"oh my god, I forgot to tell you it was at Jenna's house"

me:"ummm thanks, that info would have been more useful the other night..."

Plus the guy that invited me to the party doesnt have a cell phone, so there was no way in finding out this information...

There I go again bitching...

Either way, I think im going to find something more to do tonight... Maybe ill get new guitar strings and get back into playing my guitar again, and see if I cant get ahold of a couple of friends.

This is what I really love about CEG. Though the power of the internet I have come to love and respect many people on this website. I never knew that just a car and a computer would help me learn so much and make so many friends, people I could almost look up to. This is one of the few places on the internet that I can post about being upset about a few things going on in my life and have a bunch of serious and heartfilled responses that I really can take into consideration, an internet pat on the back if you will.

I have the best times of my life at the numerious meets I have been to, always seeing new welcoming faces that are always happy to talk with me. It almost feels like the people I know through CEG I really can consider my true friends.

Hell, I met Bill (starjammir) at a meet at meijer in taylor when he first got his mystique, now im down in lapeer every other weekend pretty much hanging out with him working on some project or just dicking around. Without CEG I never would have met him.

I guess what im getting at is that I really respect everybody here, everybodys thoughts and ideas are always taken into consideration by me and I would only hope for the same from everybody else. I have learned a hell of a lot from here about both people and cars. Now whenever one of my friends has a car problem they come to me to figure out whats wrong, and I usualy lead them in the right direction.

Thanks CEG, Thank you everybody for being so nice to me in my time of need, im feeling a little bit better already.

feel lucky
I'm really surprised there haven't been a bunch of jackass, unsympathetic comments in this thread yet.
Perhaps a bunch of people have not logged in yet today.

tony I will echo what you said, although I have just lost contact with most of my friends as we have gone different ways after college, you just need to find things that make you happy. Its rough, I go home and pretty much sit around. I work hard for what I have and I don't get alot of free time. well that trip sounds like a good idea, luckily work is sending me to West Palm Beach this weekend and I have Sunday free. I will be heading back down there for the 14th and I might have to go to Arnolds Air force Base in TN at some point ... so I will not be able to get my car painted any time soon.

but back on topic, it even hard to find friends at work because about 98% of the people in my area are way older then me, I just need to find more to do

but to reflect I don't want to really go on this trip, the gf doesn't want me to go either ... so in some perspective the daily routine isn't that bad ...

I love business trips.
I love flying and eating on the company dime.
Plus it's kinda nice to be alone in a strange place sometimes.
Sorta feels like a vacation because you don't have housechores to do and crap like that.

Dont just think that they cancel on you. You do some of it too. Not to be a ass or anything its just true ALso, I have always been here anytime u needed anything....you know that. Anytime you needed a car thing done I cancelled everything just to get time to hang with you and get the car thing done. Hell, its fun
Sorry to be honest, its the truth.

yeah I know bill. I felt bad about canceling on you... but I feel even worse know that I know you dropped everything to hang out for a short while... I probabyl shouldnt have pitched the idea... of me coming over on sunday, I never factored in the tired factor, I was pratically falling asleep at the wheel. I stoped on my way home to pick up a 1L bottle of Mt. Dew to keep me going. Im really sorry about that dude, and I wont do it again, its rare for me to cancel my plans with someone. And I really do appreciate all of the help you have given me with both the contour and the corolla.... And no you dont sound like an ass, you have every right to be upset about that. I owe you one.

lol Petes right. That is the Awkward Phase- where life is so boring because of how life changes as you get new, better jobs and a changing lifestyle.

Or something along those lines.

Hang in there bro, youll figure it out.

I went through that when I moved down to Florida. Bounced around a bit & got drunk a few times, but everything seems pointless & a huge waste of effort. I was interested in getting a gf, but the women I met were soooo shallow - their eyes would light up when they found out I drove a BMW or RX-7. meh.

These phases usually pass in a few months. Mine lasted almost three FREAKIN' YEARS!! Life truely sucked for me then.

Got over it. Lovin' life now.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
