OK, I'll grant that Austin is a fairly expansive chunk of land to cover but are their any particular shops that y'all are trusting to work on your vehicles?
I'm looking for someone, preferably north side, that can check out a 98 SE that I am looking at that has, at a minimum, alignment issues.
I've been fortunate in not needing much service on vehicles during my 5 years in the area, and I had good experiences with Leif Johnson and an extremely poor experience with Covert. Alignments stayed true on the other vehicles though, so I never had to find someone to deal with on that...bad experience with a tire chain in another city on my 90 LX 5.0 though makes me wary of trusting them to check before a purchase (I like the chain -NTB- for tires, just not other work).
I'd also welcome comments on issues to look for...I started a thread on the vehicle over in General.
