Obviously you have never been on a ride with me driving. I had an 80 mile round trip commute today. I was over 6500 RPM about a dozen times.

Do you remember the Tom Kruse movie about NASCAR racing? Do you remember how he was tearing up equipment, especially tires, until the crew chief helped him to be a finise driver? He could still win races without tearing things up once he understood the equipment. That's the way I drive. That kind of comes with the territory when you spend a large share of your adult life repairing cars.
