Viss, How do you like the 500? Nice engine, I owned the 1893 CX650 Turbo version for six years and put over 40,000 on it.

My uncle has that Bike. My dad has an 03' Ducatti ST2 He really likes it. I don't have one yet, but I have been searching for an EX 500 for a starter bike. Haven't been on a bike in a while.

2002 Honda Shadow Spirit 750.
Well it's his, but will be mine when/if we get him another one.
First he's gotta stop blowing cash on everything else.

Honda started in 1981 with the 500 and later made the 650. They also made a turbucharged version of each. The engines are stone cold reliable with the exception of replacing the stator every 35 to 45 thousand miles. I was confident enough that I rode my 650 Turbo 4,100 miles round trip from Tampa to Sturgis, SD. in 1995. The bike had over 65 thou on it then. Damn good engines.

Sweet, I hear the turbos are awesome to ride. They bring some pretty good cash too.

Mine's been stone reliable, like they all are. Not the fastest bike in the world, though FWIW I purposely left the Honda decals off the bike when I repainted it, because I wanted people to think it was a Guzzi. Actually works sometimes until they see the "HONDA" on the engine and fork

FWIW I believe they were introduced in '78

I "lost" my 83 turbo while I was getting divorced. I was living out of state and my wife sold it to some guy from NC for $1,800. bucks! she couln't believe somebody would drive from NC to FL to buy that bike. I told her there was only about a thousand of them to start in the US thats why! I was SO pizzed!! I will buy another one someday. That and a 1985 ZX750 turbo Kawasaki also, they are the bikes I have always regretted selling.

I believe that's grounds for justifiable homicide.
