that's very sad. there are ways to solve a rabies problem, killing perfectly healthy dogs is not one of them.
how about modern science!? how about vaccinations?

That is a very cruel way to kill anything. Since dog meat is a popular food item there, why not round them up and use them as food? I'm sure it could help some of the rural people or people who live in poverty in China.

i don't think they'd want to eat dogs suspected of carrying rabies. and it looks like they didn't bother to tell the difference between healthy and unhealthy dogs. they just killed them all for fun.

Well, I'm pretty sure all 50k of them weren't infected. I hope it wasn't for fun. That is even more deranged. I guess my point is that even if they are looked at as food items it is a huge waste. Either way, it is wrong.

As an animal lover, reading about this disgusts me. Really, it's going to be stuck in my head all day today. How can someone literally beat an animal to death? They couldn't at least put them to sleep by injection? No, let's just take a bat and beat it till it stops moving.
