I get some pinging even with Chevron 91 octane. Pinging is not as noticeable with AC off. Need AC in the desert though!

I've always used Motorcraft. Batteries are designed for warm climates, I thought that maybe some brand of spark plugs have a better repuatation for being good in the heat.
