Having a pitt bull seems a lot like having a loaded gun except an animal can be unpredictable.

Ever see what a car accident can do? Do you know how many people die in car accidents every year due to poor judgement?

Use poor judgement with a car, a dog, a gun, or a can opener and you pay the price. Don't maintain your vehicle, and a part can fail causing an accident. Don't pay attention to taking care of any dog, or put the dog in a bad situation, and there is a good chance of having an incident.

No dog is 100% safe. When my dog was not even 6 months old, he was attacked by a Pomeranian half of his size and bit on the nose. The people that own that dog are terrible dog owners and have the worst behaving dog on the street. But MY dog, the loving and most likely to lick you until you cry for mercy, is the EVIL one?

Please. give me a break.

Dogs ARE predictable. Raise them right, socialize them and treat them well and they will protect you and your family. Do somethign stupid and you will create a tragedy. it doesnt matter if you have a poodle or a mastiff. Or a APBT.

Pets are like a member of the family. I hope the person that did the killing gets caught and is found guilty.

I have goverment workers that come across my property often to check the river's water level. They have a property easment so they are allowed to do so. I have two dogs that both bark a lot. Two of the goverment workers came walking and one had a crowbar in his hand like he was ready to strike my dog. He didn't strike my dog. As they were leaving I told him "don't strike my dogs". The workers said "these are just tools that we were using" and left quickly. I try to avoid confrontations but I felt like I had to say something. I felt like I had to assert my rights or the situation would get worse.
