I find it hard to be sympathetic though. Just last week a woman was attacked 60 miles from here. Lost several of her fingers.




As for the woman attacked by a pitbull story, as usual, there is an assumption that the dog has done somethign wrong.

Let's say I told you that last week a woman was shot 60 miles from where I live. (and there probably was). Do you assume that the person that shot that woman did so for no reason? Perhaps the woman was shot in self defense. Perhaps the woman gave the other person reason to fear for his or her life. Every time I hear a "dog attacks person" story, all I see is the info that is NOT there. Did the person make an aggressive move towards the dog or it's owner that triggered a protective response. Was the dog purposely agitated? Was the dog's "territory" invaded?




She was walking down the street, the dog's were loose from their yard. They attacked. I guess I should have clarified that in my original post.
