my ex had about 95% of her spine fused due to scoliosis.
she still has a titanium rod in her back.
the rod could have been removed but she never went to have it done.
i guess it was painful dealing with it when she was younger, she had the surgery in her teens.
but to this day she is still doing ballet and stuff like that even though she cant bend the majority of her spine.
it sucks to know a teenager that has to go thru something like that, but it is kinda comforting to know that it is not going to ruin her life unless she lets it.
