gDub got me thinking... I have a stock exhaust system, but installed the KKM filter on my SVT. Will that cause me any hassles when I get it smogged? I've got till Sept. before I get it done.

I had to reinstall my stock intake before they would even look at the car. Some shops don't seem to care, ask in advance if an open element filter woiuld fail you, or just put the air box back in for a day.
(Yes - I couldn't even test with the KKM, but still passed with a gutted main cat - great system  )

I just recently passed with my Vortech and K&N open filter. No problem. If any one wants to know where PM me with a phone number and I will tell you. I do not want to put out that info to the world.

Jim Jim, your Vortech is smog legal, you have a CARB number. The KKM is technically not smog legal. I took mine off for a smog check this past April.
